Thank you for introducing me to both of these movies, particularly ‘Rare Exports.’ I think ‘fairy-tale horror’ might be my favorite sub-genre, but actually now that I’m considering it, fairy tales are essentially horror stories in their own right, with all the monsters, body horror, etc., and horror movies often have fairy tale elements. I thought the drawings in the books on Krampus in Rare Exports were a particularly nice touch, and it makes me want to see if they’re from real books. Anyway happy holidays!
