    Freud was a pseudoscientist. Rather than trying to separate the wheat from the chaff (or a pony inside the pile of dung), best to just ignore the whole field and start from people actually doing empirical work that is falsifiable & replicable.

    Romero had a female protagonist in “Season of the Witch”, the film he did right before “The Crazies”, although I admittedly haven’t seen that.
